In 1898, five Oklahomans pooled ten thousand dollars to open the Bank of Nowata - six years before the federal government got around to incorporating the town. In 2003, it was renamed Regent Bank, and in 2008, a group of 80 Oklahoma small-business owners led by Sean Kouplen purchased it with $72 million in assets and a single market.
A hundred and twenty-eight years later, Regent serves eight markets across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas, has grown to $2.1 billion in assets, and runs specialized divisions for non-profits, agriculture, healthcare, technology, faith-based businesses, and Hispanic-owned businesses. It was the only bank on Inc. Magazine’s 2023 Best Places to Work list.
Regent’s Broken Arrow location broke ground in 2022 - a three-story building in the heart of the city, built as a long-term commitment to this community, two years before the amphitheater was on the table.
Visit regent.bankVENU was founded in 2017 in Colorado Springs by entrepreneur J.W. Roth, with a mission to redefine what live music hospitality could be. The company opened the Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs in August 2024 to a sold-out inaugural season and a Pollstar nomination for New Concert Venue of the Year, and went public on the NYSE American that November.
Regent Bank Amphitheater is part of VENU's national portfolio of premium amphitheaters, with sister venues under development across Texas, Tennessee, and Colorado. Every VENU amphitheater features the company's signature Luxe FireSuites®; the Texas and Oklahoma venues also include the Aikman Club, a partnership with three-time Super Bowl champion Troy Aikman.
